What other animals are there in Arctic?

Caribou(Reindeer) are a member of the deer family and are adapted to cope with harsh winter conditions. Their large, concave hooves allow them to travel in deep snow conditions.

 

 

The Arctic fox is a small fox native to the Arctic regions of the Northern Hemisphere and common throughout the Arctic tundra biome.It is well adapted to living in cold environments. It’s deep thick fur turns brown in summer and white in winter.

 

 

The narwhal, or narwhale is a medium-sized toothed whale that possesses a large “tusk” from a protruding canine tooth. It lives year-round in the Arctic waters around Greenland, Canada, and Russia. 

 

 

The mustached and long-tusked walrus is most often found near the Arctic Circle, lying on the ice with hundreds of companions.
